When

July 6-7, 2010.  The event is held during the week because it is a 'nationals' type of tournament.

Ideal tournament for teams looking to play in a 'nationals-type' of feel or also can be a warm-up for teams playing in National tournament during July and August.

Ages 9u - 14u

How to Qualify

For 2010, please send us an email if you would like to participate.  We will not exclude teams in 2010.  Moving forward the following criteria will be used.

Teams can qualify by the following options:

  • Place in the top 4 in your state tournament (minimum 10 teams).  If less than 10 teams, the top 2 can earn an invite
  • Place in the top 4 in your division within the following BasketBull events:  Chicago Qualifier, San Diego Qualifier, New England Qualifier, Spring Classic, and Best of the Best.
  • Apply for a spot in the tournament by submitting your team information to naismithtourney@basketbull.org
  • Earn an invite from a BasketBull representative

The idea is not to exclude teams, but to make this tournament a competitive, national event, where teams from all over the country come to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame, learn about the game, and enjoy their experience.

Sites

Main Facilities include:  Springfield's Mass Mutual Center (4 courts) and surround colleges and high schools.

Depending on how you finish in your 4-team pool will determine which bracket you go into, either Gold, Silver or Bronze.

All championship games for each division will be held at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
